Avatar: Seven Havens Trailer Breakdown — Everything Confirmed About Pavi, Nisha and the New Era
Paramount+'s Avatar: Seven Havens premieres October 9. Here's what's confirmed by Paramount, the official synopsis, and what's still speculation about Pavi's twin sister Nisha and the shattered world she must save.

Avatar: Seven Havens is a new Avatar Studios animated series, premiering October 9 on Paramount+, and it follows The Legend of Korra — with a new Avatar the world fears rather than trusts. This is animated continuity from creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, distinct from Netflix’s separate live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender project. The video above is the September 10 official trailer uploaded by Avatar Legends and embedded directly in Paramount+’s September 11 guide. That first-party link establishes its provenance despite the uploader’s different channel name.
Update (October 1, 2026): The official upload has now been traced through Paramount+’s own guide. An incorrectly captioned duplicate inline image and an additional cast list that could not be corroborated in the first-party guide have been removed. The confirmed synopsis below comes from the written guide; no new scene-by-scene viewing is claimed.
CONFIRMED BY PARAMOUNT
- Avatar: Seven Havens premieres October 9, 2026 on Paramount+
- The series has 26 half-hour episodes, divided into Book 1 and Book 2, with 13 episodes each
- Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the creators of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra
- Produced under Avatar Studios, distributed via Nickelodeon/Paramount+
- Saheli Khan voices Pavi, the new Avatar; Aishu Devan voices Nisha, Pavi’s twin sister
- The story is set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm
- Pavi is the Avatar who came after Korra, and is feared by much of the world as humanity’s destroyer rather than its savior
- Pavi and Nisha are confirmed as long-lost twin sisters
- The Seven Havens are confirmed as the remaining strongholds of civilization in this world
What the Official Synopsis Establishes
Paramount+ describes Pavi as a young Earthbender who discovers she is the next Avatar. Her companions include the cat monkey Geet, her mentor Jae and a long-lost twin. The journey concerns her origins and the survival of the Seven Havens. These are the show’s announced foundations; brief trailer images alone do not establish how each part of that journey unfolds.
Why “Feared” Is the Key Word Here
Paramount frames Pavi as a supposed destroyer rather than the savior her role traditionally promises. That creates a problem before she can solve the larger disaster: people may resist help from the person they believe threatens them. The premise gives the series room to explore how an Avatar earns trust, alongside how she learns to use her powers.
It’s worth being precise about what’s actually confirmed versus what’s implied: Paramount’s materials confirm Pavi is feared and that a cataclysm shattered the world, but nothing officially released states that Korra caused that cataclysm, or explains why the fear specifically attaches to Pavi rather than Avatars generally. That connection is a natural audience inference, not a confirmed plot point.
Nisha’s Role Is Confirmed as Sisterly, Not (Yet) Explained
Nisha being Pavi’s long-lost twin sister is confirmed casting and character information from Paramount, and the two are described as uncovering their origins together while protecting the Seven Havens. What isn’t confirmed is why they were separated, whether Nisha has any bending or spiritual abilities of her own, or any specifics about her role beyond “sister and protector alongside Pavi.” Speculation that Nisha might be some kind of second Avatar or parallel spiritual figure hasn’t been confirmed by Paramount or Avatar Studios anywhere in official materials — treat that as fan theory, not confirmed lore.
CONTINUITY CONTEXT: This Is the Animated Universe
It’s worth being clear about which “Avatar” this is, since two major projects share the name right now. Seven Havens continues the animated continuity DiMartino and Konietzko have built since the original Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra — same creators, same core mythology, same medium. It is not connected to Netflix’s separate live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series, which retells the original show’s story with a different cast and creative team. The two projects exist independently of each other; nothing in Seven Havens’ marketing suggests any crossover or shared canon with the live-action side.
STILL UNKNOWN
- Who or what caused the cataclysm that shattered the world, and Korra’s specific relationship to it, if any
- Which nations or bending traditions the Seven Havens correspond to, or whether the old four-nation structure still applies at all
- The villain(s) of the season — Paramount hasn’t named a confirmed antagonist
- Which human and spirit enemies hunt Pavi, and their identities and motives beyond Paramount’s announced synopsis
- Nisha’s specific powers or role beyond being Pavi’s twin and ally
With the October 9 premiere close, expect more of these to be confirmed in the weeks ahead. For now, the safest framing is: a new Avatar the world distrusts, a shattered setting, a twin sister at her side, and a franchise legacy it’s deliberately complicating rather than repeating.
