The Apothecary Diaries Season 3's Second Trailer Centers Jinshi and Reveals Eve's Ending Theme
The Apothecary Diaries Season 3's second trailer focuses on Jinshi's new responsibilities, reveals Eve's AIYOU ending theme, and confirms the October 2 return.

Spoiler note: This article discusses The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 developments and details in official Season 3 marketing.
The second official Season 3 promotional video puts Jinshi’s responsibilities as the imperial younger brother at the center of The Apothecary Diaries’ next mystery. It also introduces “AIYOU” by Eve as the first cour’s ending theme. Season 3 begins on Japanese television October 2, 2026, with Crunchyroll listing the series for its fall streaming lineup.
What Does the Second Season 3 Trailer Confirm?
The anime’s own announcement says Jinshi faces a warning about a disaster threatening the country and the mystery of a woman described in its Japanese marketing as a senjo, a figure associated with immortality. Maomao joins him in confronting the new problem. The official description says the setting extends beyond the rear palace into the city and then a neighboring land.
That is a meaningful shift in scope, but it is still a setup. The trailer does not identify the mysterious woman, explain the disaster, fix the chronology of every shot or tell viewers how the central relationship resolves. Those answers should come from the aired series, not guesses based on the edit or knowledge of later source material.
Jinshi’s imperial status is no longer being hidden by the anime’s marketing. The spoiler note matters for viewers who have not finished Season 2; it is not a license to add revelations from unadapted novels.
Who Sings the New Ending Theme?
Eve performs “AIYOU,” written for the first cour of Season 3. Eve’s official announcement also dates the song’s digital release to October 2. The new video gives listeners a preview, while the full track arrives with the season’s premiere.
When and Where Does Season 3 Premiere?
The October 2 return is the context for this trailer. For the Japanese broadcast time, Crunchyroll territories and the second cour, use our maintained Season 3 release guide. The PV2 story here concerns Jinshi’s setup and the new music; Japan’s television time should not be treated as a worldwide streaming time.
Maomao no Hitorigoto Returns
The official portal also confirms that the short companion anime Maomao no Hitorigoto is returning for Season 3. These mini-episodes explain items and ideas from the main show after viewers have seen them. The announced schedule is Mondays at noon JST on TOHO animation’s official YouTube channel.
