Brian and Stewie wind up in Hell in the trailer for Family Guy: Happy Hell-o-ween, a new Halloween special arriving October 5, 2026, on Hulu in the United States. Kieran Culkin guest stars as the Devil. The special’s premise is that the pair annoy him enough to end up running the underworld themselves.

What Does the Trailer Show?

Hulu’s announced premise turns the afterlife into another setting for Brian and Stewie’s arguments. Their new authority creates the joke: visitors who irritated the Devil now have a chance to run his domain. That reversal supplies the special’s setup without establishing any lasting change to the series.

The Halloween episode is a streaming special, separate from the regular run of Family Guy. Culkin’s Devil is a guest role announced for this special; his appearance here does not imply that he is joining the regular cast.

Where It Fits Among the Halloween Specials

Disney’s Halloween guide distinguishes the Hulu specials from numbered season episodes. Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Cheater (2024) centers on Quahog’s pumpkin contest; A Little Fright Music (2025) gives Brian and Stewie a Halloween songwriting project. Happy Hell-o-ween changes their setting to the underworld. For viewers browsing the catalogue, the earlier specials appear under Exclusives on the Family Guy Disney+ page, rather than as the numbered Halloween episodes listed in the same guide.

When Can You Watch Happy Hell-o-ween?

October 5 on Hulu is the confirmed US streaming date in Disney-owned ABC7’s coverage and Disney’s September 29 guide. That guide also confirms Hulu on Disney+ access for eligible US bundle subscribers. Its US subscription terms do not establish an international release schedule.
