#ImLookingForZombies Main PV Sets October 3 Premiere — What the New Trailer Actually Reveals
#ImLookingForZombies has a confirmed October 3 broadcast date, five new cast members and both theme songs revealed in its new main PV. Here's what's new, what's confirmed, and what the trailer only suggests.

#ImLookingForZombies begins its Japanese broadcast on Saturday, October 3, 2026. KADOKAWA’s September 13 main PV pairs the release announcement with five additional cast members and previews of the opening and ending songs.
Correction (October 1, 2026): The Japanese video title previously used the character for Sunday. The official upload and broadcast schedule specify Saturday.
A Search Story Inside the Outbreak
The official synopsis places Aki’s journey 13 years after an outbreak infected or killed 90% of humanity. Born after the disaster, she leaves her isolated village with childhood friends Natsuki and Haru to find her father; Yuu and Sakura join them along the way.
That starting point gives the journey two different perspectives. Aki encounters an outside world she has never known, while the ruined cities remind the audience of what was lost. Her goal gives the group somewhere to go beyond simply surviving another attack. It also makes her father’s casting a useful addition to this reveal, even though a named performer does not establish when or how Aki will meet him.
The manga is by Katsuwo, whose earlier works include Mitsuboshi Colors and Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu. The official introduction connects that background to its mix of young companions, daily interactions and dangerous surroundings. How the adaptation balances those elements will become clearer once the episodes arrive.
The Five Additional Cast Members
| Character | Performer |
|---|---|
| Mikazuki | Yoko Hikasa |
| Touka | Makoto Koichi |
| Takamo | Tomoyo Takayanagi |
| Saigo | Aino Shimada |
| Aki’s father | Kosuke Toriumi |
They join the five leads already announced. Surii performs the opening “Raki Raki”, and cadode performs the ending “Soft Apocalypse.”
Broadcast Times and Regional Availability
The official on-air page lists TV Asahi’s 24-station IMAnimation broadcast at 23:30 JST on Saturdays, beginning October 3. ABEMA and dAnime Store have the fastest Japanese streams at Saturday 24:00 JST—midnight at the start of Sunday, October 4 for the first episode. Other Japanese services begin their staggered rollout from the October 8 broadcast-day listing.
Those are Japanese arrangements. A domestic service listing does not establish access through the same brand in another country; overseas viewers should check a local distributor’s own announcement before making viewing plans.
