Monster Hunter Outlanders’ Tokyo Game Show trailer previews a mobile hunting game built around adventurers, companions and crafted traversal tools. Since the trailer’s September release, TiMi Studio Group has announced the missing launch information: October 29, 2026. The publisher’s September 29 announcement specifies a separate 2027-or-later plan for the mainland Chinese version.

What the Publisher Identifies in the TGS Footage

Level Infinite’s account of the trailer identifies the original monster ルガ・エアルダ, scenes featuring the adventurers Haze and フィーヤ, a hammer hunt against Azure Rathalos, and crafted equipment used to move between areas. The showcase introduces original characters and monsters while demonstrating hunting and exploration on a phone. The Japanese announcement supplies those identifications; they are not conclusions drawn here from unidentified frames.

The Japanese primary source uses ルガ・エアルダ for the original monster. Different romanizations in translated coverage should not be counted as different monsters; the announcement is not a complete launch roster.

Adventurers Change More Than Their Weapon

The official English character guide pairs each adventurer’s weapon with a class and specific skills. Characters carrying the same weapon can fill different roles:

AdventurerWeapon and classOfficially described feature
ArkayaLance — SupportBuilds Resolve; some skills spend it for a powerful blow and shield
Ouyang VarenLance — AssaultUses guarding to build Impetus and strengthen thrusts
LukaBow — AssaultPrecise skill casts strengthen Thunder Coating
MadelynBow — SupportApplies Spores that can damage enemies and boost nearby allies when detonated

That distinction helps readers compare characters without assuming every lance or bow behaves identically. These are the website’s descriptions, rather than a hands-on assessment of balance or ease of use.

The guide separately identifies Buddies and Radiant species. Radiant Rathian and Radiant Anjanath are described as monsters changed by Radiantite, with altered venom and flame behavior. Their inclusion does not establish that every familiar monster has a Radiant counterpart.

Launch and Pre-Registration

The official announcement names App Store and Google Play pre-registration, supporting the iOS and Android plan. October 29 is an announced service launch; pre-registration does not mean the full game is already available.

Update, October 1: The previous statement that no official release date existed has been replaced with the publisher’s September 29 announcement. Unsupported claims about seven launch weapons, specific environmental combat hazards and a completed TGS hands-on experience have been removed.
