Star Detective Precure! Movie Trailers: Three Teams and the Karin’s Garden Mystery

Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of the Two brings the current detective team together with characters from You and Idol Precure♪ and Wonderful Precure!. Its two September 13 previews promoted the September 18, 2026 Japanese theatrical release. The official film site now identifies it as showing in cinemas, so that release is no longer upcoming.

Two Previews, Two Ways Into the Mystery

The official video gallery links both original uploads directly.

Cure Answer, Cure Mystique, Cure Eclair and Cure Arcana form the current team. The accompanying September announcement coverage identifies returning characters including Cure Idol and Cure Wonderful. This is a meeting of named teams, rather than evidence that every historical Precure has an equally large role.

Why Karin’s Garden Connects the Teams

The official trailer description places the detectives on the trail of the X-Mark Incident. A fairy named Rain asks for help and brings them to Karin’s Garden, where small Dame-Dame creatures are causing trouble. The crossover promotion ties the returning teams to that mystery too.

The useful connection is the shared investigation: earlier characters enter the current film’s problem. The announcement does not give a scene-by-scene account of who solves each part, and this guide does not disclose the finished film’s ending.

The Future Form Promotion Came Earlier

Toei’s gallery separately lists a Future Form preview, released before these September 13 videos. The detective-focused preview should therefore not be credited with first announcing those transformations. The labeled uploads distinguish an earlier form reveal from a later theatrical reminder.

The current sources establish the Japanese cinema release; they do not supply an international release or streaming date. Worldwide access to an upload is not a film distribution announcement.

Update, October 1: Release language reflects the current Japanese theatrical status. The second trailer’s official origin is verified through Toei’s gallery, replacing the earlier uncertainty about its upload.
