Apocalypse Z: New World Trailer, Cast and October 30 Prime Video Release
Watch the official Apocalypse Z: New World trailer and check the October 30 Prime Video release, Canary Islands story, returning cast and sequel connection.

Apocalypse Z: New World arrives on Prime Video on October 30, 2026, in more than 240 countries and territories, according to Amazon. The official trailer released on October 8 returns to a world devastated by the TSJ outbreak, where the Canary Islands have become Europe’s remaining refuge and a supply mission sends survivors back to the mainland.
The English title is Apocalypse Z: New World; Prime Video uses Apocalipsis Z: Un Nuevo Mundo for the Spanish title. The film follows 2024’s Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End, which remains available globally on Prime Video.

Amazon updated its official sequel guide with the trailer on October 8. The video above is the original Prime Video UK & IE upload, replacing the earlier teaser in this article.
What the trailer and synopsis confirm
Prime Video’s written setup describes a special mission heading from the Canary Islands to the mainland in search of vital supplies. Roberto joins the team with motives the announcement leaves in doubt. The operation puts the group between hordes of infected and divisions among the survivors.
That is the confirmed setup. Promotional footage does not establish who survives, where every sequence falls in the story, or what Roberto ultimately wants. Prime Video calls the threat infected, so that is the terminology used here rather than assuming a more specific in-universe label.

The connection to Manel Loureiro’s books
Prime Video describes the sequel as based on author Manel Loureiro’s books and as an expansion of the post-apocalyptic universe. That confirms the continuing source-material connection, but not a one-to-one adaptation of a particular novel or volume. Until Prime Video or the production identifies that relationship more precisely, treating New World as a direct adaptation of one named book would go beyond the official material.
The first film’s international performance is also described carefully by Prime Video: it is among the service’s most-watched titles internationally. Amazon has not supplied a viewer total for this sequel announcement, so there is no meaningful number to add.
Cast, director and the Sitges premiere
Carles Torrens returns to direct after helming the first film, with a screenplay by Ángel Agudo and Núria Valls and Adrián Guerra as executive producers. Prime Video’s confirmed cast includes Carlos Alcaide, Julia Martínez, José María Yazpik as Pritchenko, Mónica López, Tamara Casellas, Santiago Vaca Narvaja, and Berta Vázquez as Lucía.
Amazon describes Pritchenko as a returning ally looking for a way out and Lucía as a nurse barricaded in a hospital. Pedrito, the cat who plays Lúculo, also returns. The announcement names Axel Medrano, Pedro Hernández, Javier Godino, Ujin Moreno and Mario Mayo among the other cast members, without assigning them characters.
Sitges Film Festival announced an October 10 premiere at its 2026 event, ahead of the streaming release. That scheduling announcement should not be read as a review or confirmation of the film’s critical reception.

When and where can you watch it?
The announced streaming date is October 30, exclusively on Prime Video, across more than 240 countries and territories. Amazon has not supplied a universal launch hour or a country-by-country language guide in this announcement. Check your local Prime Video listing for availability and language options.
The original film is the direct predecessor and provides the introduction to the outbreak and returning characters. Amazon says it is streaming globally on Prime Video, making it the relevant catch-up title before New World.
What has not been announced
Prime Video has not published a full explanation of Roberto’s motives or plot outcomes beyond the mission setup. The trailer is not evidence for specific deaths, betrayals or an exact chronology. A third film, detailed sequel ending and international dubbing schedule should not be assumed from this announcement.
