Suikoden: The Anime has an official free English-subtitled YouTube rollout dated October 6, 2026, following Japan’s October 3 opening special.

English YouTube Release and Regions

Use the official channel or Episode 1: Hometown, announced with English subtitles. The channel announces new episodes every Tuesday, with release times varying by region.

The announced territories include the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and named Latin American, Caribbean, Middle Eastern and African markets. Japan is excluded from this YouTube rollout.

The United Kingdom and several Nordic countries are absent from the announced English YouTube territory list. That list should not be read as worldwide availability. Some neighboring territories are listed separately in the channel metadata, so playback rights should be checked country by country rather than assumed for an entire region. A video being marked live does not prove it plays in every country.

Other Regional Distributors

ADN lists Suikoden in its French, German and Polish announcements, starting October 3. Its service guide identifies German-language service in Germany and Austria, and Polish-language service in Poland; the German announcement specifies Japanese audio and German subtitles.

Ani-One Asia has separately announced the series. Check that distributor’s local listing rather than assuming it shares the English channel’s coverage. The announcements checked do not establish a single service covering every European or Nordic territory. Being absent from one platform’s list does not establish that the series is universally unavailable in those countries.

The official third trailer remains below; the full episode is linked above.

Premiere and Regular Schedule Differ

Japan’s 32-station rollout began October 3 with a 60-minute opening broadcast special. The on-air page distinguishes premiere dates from regular slots:

BS AsahiOctober 9, 11:30 p.m.Fridays at 11:30 p.m.

TOKYO MX lists an October 6 series special before episode 2. Japanese streaming began October 3 after 8 p.m. across 24 platforms, including Prime Video, ABEMA and U-NEXT. These are domestic listings.

Music and Production

The official ending-theme announcement names “closed eye sun” by Koji Nakamura featuring Honoka Takahashi, the ending theme. The opening is amazarashi’s “Kanashimi Sae Otonabite.” Yuzo Sato directs, with animation production by KONAMI animation.

Correction, October 1: The schedule now distinguishes the opening special from regular broadcasts. The protagonist’s name follows the official anime English page, Riliu, and the former “full cast” claim is replaced with a cast guide including Viktor and Flik.

Correction, October 6: Jowy’s actor is Shimba Tsuchiya on the official English page. Nanami is clarified as Riliu’s adoptive older sister.
